Oh, and raise your hand if you’re surprised that I’m suggesting books?

Without any further adieu, here are Amazon’s top 10 suggestions of Christmas books for kids!

1. Best Kids’ Christmas Jokes Ever! by Highlights.

Probably pretty self-explanatory, but this one is a book full of Christmas jokes that are small-child appropriate!

2. Fritz the Farting Reindeer by Humor Heals Us.

Ah, I do love a nice, wholesome reindeer story. Almost everything you need to know is in the title. Fritz has gas, but will that stop him from joining Santa’s Christmas Eve crew? You’ll have to find out with your little ones!

3. Christmas ABC Book for Kids by Little Beavers Press.

For the toddler in your life, this paperback will help them get excited for Christmas while also learning some new words and practicing their alphabet!

4. Gary the Farting Gingerbread Man by Tootin’ Tom.

As I’m browsing through these books recommended to the masses by Amazon, I’m beginning to realize something… I have the same sense of humor as the children these are geared toward…

This one, unsurprisingly, is about a farting gingerbread man. Gary fights for survival against the threat of being eaten by Santa on Christmas Eve!

5. I Spy Christmas for Kids Ages 2-5 by Little Llama Press.

The I Spy books have been iconic for years, so it’s not surprising that they’re still making top 10 lists. These are great activity books for children to work on their hand-eye coordination while having fun.

6. Construction Site on Christmas Night by Sherri Duskey Rinker.

This more wholesome option is about the characters Excavator, Bulldozer, Crane, Dump Truck, and Cement Mixer building a new home for their friends, the Fire Engines! And of course, there has to be a Christmas surprise for everyone involved as well.

7. Bear Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson.

A board book ideal for the fresh children in your life, this one follows Bear’s friends as they try to keep him from hibernating through Christmas. Will their endeavors of baking cakes, decorating a tree, singing carols and more keep Bear awake?

8. The Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore.

Come on, who doesn’t love the classics? This story has been around for decades, and for good reason. Give the gift of tradition to the littles in your life!

9. Sounds Like Christmas by Robert Munsch.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was feeling some nostalgia about Robert Munsch’s books. These things were gold many moons ago. There’s every chance that your kids will love them as well, so why not give this one a try?

10. Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever by Matt Tavares

We’re heard so much about Rudolph and so little about the rest of Santa’s team. This book tells the tale of how the esteemed Dasher joined the ranks.

BONUS OPTION: Hookers and Blow Save Christmas by Munty C Pepin.

This one is great for children and adults alike! A heartwarming Christmas story with just the right level of delightfully obvious innuendo for adults! Your kids might ask what’s so funny, but doesn’t that just make it funnier?

Final Thoughts

Encouraging kids to read from a young age will help them to grow into thoughtful adults. These options are great for hand-eye coordination, learning to read, making great Christmas memories, and more.

I loved getting books from a young age, and encouraging literacy is always a great gift.

Happy shopping!
